I was going to say that my love affair with capes started a few years ago but truth be told it can probably be traced all the way back to my childhood love of princesses. The only thing that fascinated me more than their gorgeous dresses was the cape that went with it. For example, my favourite Belle outfit in Beauty and the Beast was the one she wears out in the snow. Iconic!
In my quest towards perfecting my personal style I’ve come to realise that the only way to truly evolve is by going out of your comfort zone. The best way I know how to do this is by trying on things I may not have thought would work for me. Case in point: this wrap dress. I saw it hanging on a rack at Dotti, thought it looked more “meh” than cute but decided to take it to the changing room with me anyway.
As I mentioned last week, my love for the pink bomber was born on the day I tried on Valfré’s Mermaid jacket at Lady Petrova. Wearing it felt like a magical hug and though I fell head over heels for it, I was there to buy a dress I’d had my eye on forever so I ended up leaving the bomber behind. A week later it was sold out and I really regretted not buying it, so I started looking for an alternative.
